We're Still Here

Summer's a crazy time! Wally just turned 15! What's up with that? How can I be old enough to have a 15 year old! This time next year, he'll be wanting to drive. Soooooo not ready for that! Amongst our business, I've been preparing for next year's schooling. Bond really has no idea what all is involved in that. Every time he asks what I'm doing, I tell him I'm working on school stuff. He says, "Again?" I told him it's a lot of work, just preparing. But, I'm sure I overdo it. I always overdo stuff. Each year I tell myself I'm going to be completely prepared and organized. Each year when we begin, I feel prepared and organized. A few weeks into it, I usually have to change something. So, I guess I'll never be fully prepared and organized!

We celebrated the 4th of July with Wally's birthday. He didn't want a friend party. Guess he's too old for that! But, that's okay. It saves us some money! Here's some pics to celebrate the occasions!

Dinodude's BD

It's been a while since I've posted! So sorry. Things are so busy and crazy around here! Dinodude turned 7 this month! Where is the time going? And why is it going so fast? He wanted a lego party, so that's what we did. For the games, we played a lego version of hot potato. Everyone started with a pile of legos in front of them. The first person started with one lego. He'd pass it to the next person and that person would add another lego. Then he would pass it and the next person added another lego. It would just continue on with that while the music played. Whoever had the legos when the music stopped was out. They really enjoyed that. Then, we played a lego spoon relay race. We separated them into 2 teams. Each team got one spoon and a lego. They had to run to one end of the room with the lego on the spoon, then back to their team and hand it off. We actually had to do this twice because there were a few cheaters who tried to hold the lego on the spoon! The last game was pin the weapon on the legoman. I didn't draw this guy. I just printed him and blew it up so he was bigger. If I had more time, I could've drawn a nicer looking one, but he served his purpose. Here's the legoman:

We had a great turnout! I think there were about 7-8 boys. It sure was loud! But, that's part of the fun of it! It was nice outside, too, so they were able to go outside and play. Wally taught them how to play capture the flag and I think they all enjoyed that.

We Can Now Add Rocket to Our List!!!

The list for getting stitches! Yup. Last night was his turn. He, Pokemon King, and Dinodude were in the basement playing in their forts. I can't count how many times I've told them not to climb on the roof of the playhouse. Of course, those boys never listen! Rocket was on the roof, tripped and fell onto a shelf. He comes up the stairs with blood running down his face. I'm panicking so much! I clean him off to find the wound and see a nice slice in his head. So, I call Bond, who's on his way to the movies with brother-in-law and Wally. He comes back home and we head off to the hospital. Wait time wasn't too bad. Instead of getting a numbing shot, they use some kind of numbing gel that takes about 20 minutes to work. So, Rocket's lying on the table having the stitches put in and is just talking up a storm to us. We told him we'd take him to McDonald's for some fries, so he was talking about that. He told us how he got hurt. He was such a brave kid and did an awesome job! Of course, now he tells people he fell off the roof. What people must think when he says that!
