Spring Break

We are on our Spring Break this week. Since Wally was on Spring Break from high school, I decided it was a good week for all of us to take a break. I think we all needed it. I had hope to shampoo some carpets. As I was preparing to do that, I noticed I was out of the carpet shampoo! So, there went that plan. I'm hoping tomorrow I can go get some more. I have a Kirby vacuum/shampooer, so I'm afraid to use another brand. I just haven't felt like driving to the Kirby store. I'm a bit lazy this week! But, I did manage to clean my refrigerator, go through some toys, go to the park and I know I did a lot of stuff on Monday, but for the life of me I can't remember what I did! Tuesday I spent the day finishing the book, "Sarah." It was due at the library on Monday, so I was a day late, but I finished! I've also been preparing for the next school year. I know, I know. I'm really late on that! Usually I'm done in January and by February I already have the books/curriculum! With Bond starting his new job, money's kind of tight, so I'm trying to revamp it. So far, I've already cut it down by $50! Hopefully, I can cut it down more, but we'll have to see. So, of course, I've been making more charts. But, shhh. Don't tell the boys! They always groan when I say I'm making more charts. Hey, they build legos, I build charts! That's fair, right?

It's Rocket! Didn't he do a fabulous job? I told him he needs to do the rest of the boys, now!

Nope, Didn't Work

Rocket hasn't slept in his big bed since last week. Although, he starts out in his big bed, but doesn't stay long. He still insists on sleeping in his crib. Oh well. When he's ready, he's ready. Until then, we'll just keep trying. He's still such a good sleeper, I really hate to mess with that anyway!

Not much else in going on in our world. The boys are ready for a spring break and so am I! Wally is as busy as a bee. Seminary, school, play practice, home just in time for dinner, then almost time for bed. He doesn't have much time for anything lately. But, he's doing the best he can. I can't wait to see the musical. I'm so excited!

Pokemon King and Dinodude have been doing well at school. Although we've been quite relaxed lately, they've been getting their work done in a reasonable amount of time. Mostly because they want to play the Wii. Especially Pokemon King! And since they get their school and chores done, they're allowed to play. Pokemon King is awesome in that respect. As soon as he's finished with school, he immediately does his chores. Even though he only gets one hour during the week, he seems to be satisfied with that. Dinodude is not as gung-ho with his chores, but if wants privileges, he needs to do them.

Rocket's school has been really way off track! But he has been having fun playing starfall and playhousedisney. So, at least he's learning something, right? I'm hoping that having a week off will rejuvenate me and get me more organized and ready to go!

Breakthrough!!!

Rocket slept in his big bed all night!!! Woohoo!!! He started out in his crib. When I was almost finished singing "I Am a Child of God" he said he wanted to sleep in his big bed. So, I put him in there, tucked him in and finished the song. As I left the room, he decided he wanted his door open. So, I left it open. I waited by his door thinking he'd want to go back to his crib, but he didn't say anything. I went back to my room and heard him whispering in the monitor. I turned it all the way up so I could hear what he was saying. He was telling Pokemon King to turn on his light. It went like this: "Pokemon King, turn on your light," very softly. "Pokemon King, I need you turn your light on," a little louder. Finally, a very loud whisper, "POKEMON KING, I SAID, TURN YOUR LIGHT ON!" By that time Pokemon King had come down to my room. I told him to just turn the bathroom light on. So, a few minutes later I hear Rocket whisper, "Thank you Dinodude." Now, I'm not sure who actually turned on the light, but I didn't hear much after that!

So, this morning I wake up about 6:45 to a loud whisper, "Mom!"...."Mom!"...."Mom!" So, I go to check on Rocket and he says he wants to sleep in his crib. "Of course!" I say. Who wants to get up that early, anyway! Well, he stayed there all of 30 seconds. So, we ended up getting up. But, I'm so proud of my Rocket, sleeping all night in the big bed! Of course, who knows how long it will last!
