Boring Update

We are just traipsing along. Nothing new has been going on. Same old, same old. Schooling here, playing there. The boys have been getting along quite nicely with each other, with only a few minor incidents.

Albus has decided that he now wants to be known as Wally. This is due the fact that he was in the play Our Town at school, and that is what everyone calls him. Plus, Albus is considered old. But, now that he's in the Music Man, I wonder if he will want to be called Traveling Salesman?! Hmmm.

Despite the fact that it is roughly 26 degrees outside, Rocket has decided to remove his pants and socks. I've tried to put them on, but they just come back off. What's the point? He has also recently discovered he can climb in and out of his crib. I'm actually thinking that is awesome, so we can work towards getting him out of the crib and into a bed. By this time, my other boys were done with naps and sleeping in regular beds. Rocket still takes his naps and does quite well. Of course, we don't want that to change, do we! He is just so picky and does not like any change whatsoever. I thought that each time he'd go down for his nap or sleep, he would just climb out, but surprisingly he hasn't. That would involved change, wouldn't it?

Schedule for the Rest of the School Year

I thought we were getting behind in our school schedule, but as I charted (yes...another chart!) the rest of the year, I think we're okay. I only charted Pokemon King's year. Dinodude's should be pretty close. He doesn't have as many math lessons and his English, I believe is right on schedule. So here's my plan.
I don't know how well it'll show up, but there's the rest of our schedule. I think as long as we don't dilly-dally too much, we'll be able to stick to it. I might still do one for Dinodude, just to have it laid out, but we'll see.

Rocket's Birthday/School in Session

We celebrated Rocket's 3rd birthday this past weekend. It was just a family party. We're not ready for the kid parties yet! That happens around 5 or 6 years old. Here's a picture of the cake I made.

Think he's a Mickey Mouse fan?

We started school back up today. We've been so lazy since we were on break. It's so hard to get back into a routine! We didn't start until 10:15! ACK! My goal was to start at 8am, but I don't think that'll ever happen! But, per my New Year's Resolutions...Relax! I haven't stressed about getting everything done as fast as possible. We took our time. And, although it's almost 3pm, Dinodude is finally done with his. Pokemon King has quite a bit to do, but it's all in his court to do. We've gone over everything, he just needs to do his part. We added Vocabulary to his list. He balked a bit at first, but when he realized it didn't take that long, he was okay with it.

Albus is staying after school today for Music Man auditions. Wish him luck!

I hear Rocket awaking from his slumber! Time for his school!

Happy New Year!!!

Rocket turned 3 on Sunday. Wow! I cannot believe how fast he is growing! We're celebrating his birthday this weekend, although he did open our gifts on Sunday. He's been into watching Toy Story lately, so he got Woody for Christmas and we decided to get him Buzz for his birthday. The three of them are practically inseparable!

It's that time of year again! Resolutions! Or Attempting Resolutions. Making the list is so much easier than sticking to it!

Here's mine, so far. I'll probably continue to add to it:
  • Relax
  • Read Scriptures more (I read, just not as often as I should!)
  • Play more games with my boys
  • Spend more time with Bond
  • Go with the flow
I think I'll stick to those for right now. I might add more later and I'll probably post them on my sidebar to keep track! Usually for Family Home Evening we sit down and make some goals both as a family and individually. Then I make a chart (surprise!) for each person. We'll see if we can do that again this year. The boys seem to like it, but once again, making the list is easier than following through!
